Set Default Card Display

Configure how cards appear in the schedule view when accessed through shortcut links

Overview

This feature allows you to configure how cards appear in the schedule view when accessed through shortcut links from other parts of the application. You can establish consistent card formatting through both global (company-wide) and user-specific settings.

Who Can Use This Feature

All users who access the schedule via shortcut links.

Benefits

  • Maintain consistent card formatting throughout the scheduling interface
  • Personalize card display according to individual preferences
  • Improve schedule readability by focusing on the most relevant information

Global Settings (Administrators)

The global default settings apply to all new users and whenever users follow shortcut links to the schedule.

  1. Navigate to Company Settings
  2. Select the Planning category
  3. Find the Default Card setting
  4. Click the Settings button to configure display options

User Settings (Individual Users)

User settings override global settings when configured. By default, user settings match the global configuration.

  1. Navigate to your User Page
  2. Select the Planning category
  3. Find the Default Card setting
  4. Click the Settings button to configure display options

Configuration Options

When you click the Settings button in either location, you'll access the same configuration panel found on the Planning page:

  • Display: Choose how cards are visually arranged (Vertical/Horizontal/etc.)
  • Content: Select what information appears on cards (Client/Project/Task/etc.)
  • Color: Determine how cards are color-coded (Client/Project/etc.)

How It Works

  1. Global settings establish the default card display for all users
  2. Individual users can override these settings in their personal preferences
  3. When following shortcut links to the schedule (using the "calendar" button), cards will display according to these preferences
  4. New view creation will also respect these default settings
