You can schedule resources for tasks directly within the project sheet. Here’s how:
To start, open the project sheet for the mission you want to schedule tasks for. You can access it via the search bar or through the Missions menu.
Step 1: Assign a resource to a task
This means linking a team member to a specific task.
In the Task section, you can associate a task with a collaborator by configuring it in the Budget panel.
You have two options:
-
Select the collaborator directly from the list provided.
-
Use custom fields to define the assignment according to your needs.
Step 2: Set a duration for the task
Once the resource is assigned, you can define the time budget (in hours ) required to complete the task.
Still in the right-hand column, click on the Duration tab.
⚠ Make sure to enter the value in decimal format. Hours cannot be negative.
Step 3: Set a due date for the task
In the same section, click on the Dates tab. Here, you can define the task’s due date, that is, the planned end date for the task.
Good to know: Tasks can have a due date that is different from the mission’s end date. It is possible to schedule time after the due date and log actual hours past it, as long as the task is not marked as closed.
Step 4: Schedule the resource on the task
Still in the right-hand section of the task, click the Schedule button at the top.
A panel will open on the right side of the screen, allowing you to enable the Schedule late tasks option if desired.
Good to know: Once scheduling is launched for a mission, any future scheduling that was already created will be erased and replaced. Past scheduling will remain unaffected.
