Customize Schedule Page Indicators

Display the right information for the right purpose on the Schedule Page

Overview

The Planning page's Header customization feature allows you to personalize the information displayed in the left column of your planning view. This powerful feature helps you make informed scheduling decisions by displaying the most relevant resource information and key performance indicators at a glance.

With this feature, you can:

  • Choose which resource fields appear in the row headers (such as team, position, role, etc.)
  • Select which performance indicators to display (scheduled time, availability, conflicts, etc.)
  • Save those settings into views you can reuse later

Accessing the Feature

  1. Navigate to the Planning page
  2. Look for the Header button in the view bar
  3. Click the button to open the Header Customization panel

Using the Header Customization Panel

The customization panel has three main sections:

1. Header Preview

The top section displays a live preview of how your row headers will appear with the current selection of fields and indicators. This preview updates as you make changes to your selections.

2. Fields Selection

The Fields section lets you choose which resource information will appear in the left side of the row header.

  • Up to 4 fields can be displayed (in addition to the resource name, which is always shown)
  • By default, Team and Position are displayed
  • Available fields include:
    • Team
    • Position
    • Role
    • Bill Rate (if you have permission)
    • Cost Rate (if you have permission)
    • All resource custom fields (if you have permission)

To add a field:

  1. Click the +Add Field button
  2. Select the desired field from the list in the side panel
  3. Reorder fields to your liking by dragging and dropping them

To remove a field:

  1. Hover over the field and click the trash icon
  2. The field will be removed from your Header Preview

3. Indicators Selection

The Indicators section lets you choose which performance metrics will appear in the right side of the row header.

  • Up to 5 indicators can be displayed
  • By default, Scheduled (h) and Available (h) are displayed
  • Available indicators include:
    • Scheduled (h): Number of hours scheduled in the selected period
    • Scheduled utilization (%): Percentage of capacity that is scheduled
    • Available (h) - Number of hours still available
    • Available (%)  - Percentage of capacity still available
    • Total Capacity (h)- Total working hours based on workweek
    • Conflicts - Number of scheduling conflicts

To add an indicator:

  1. Click the +Add Indicator button
  2. Select the desired indicator from the list in the side panel
  3. The indicator will appear in your Header Preview

To remove an indicator:

  1. Hover over the indicator and click the trash icon
  2. The indicator will be removed from your Header Preview

Saving Your Customizations

To apply and save your row header customizations:

  1. Review your selections in the Header Preview
  2. Click the Save button at the top of the panel
  3. Your customizations will be applied to the Planning page and saved in the current view

To cancel without saving:

  1. Click the ×Close button at the top of the panel
  2. Your changes will be discarded

Troubleshooting

  • If indicators aren't displaying as expected, check that you have saved your customizations
  • If certain fields are not available, you may need additional permissions
