A role in Beeye is a named set of permissions, each with a scope, that determines what a resource can see and do. Roles make it easy to give people the right access when they join, change jobs, or take on new responsibilities.
A role groups many individual permissions and applies a scope to each one. The scope sets how widely the permission applies.
- None means the resource has no access to that action or data.
- Me means the resource can act only on their own items, such as their bookings or their timesheet.
- Team means the resource can act on items that belong to their team.
- Company means the resource can act on items across the entire workspace.
Roles cover the main modules in Beeye, such as Planning, Projects, Time & Expenses, Clients, and Resources. When you assign a role to a resource, the navigation they see and the actions they can take update right away to match that role.
